Safer Rays Mod Script Habits
If you still run unofficial Lua, these rules keep a 25-player server and your main account farther from harm.
Rays Mod scripts are unofficial. This page will not pretend otherwise. The two files we document are OP keyless and very OP no-key. Both can risk the account and both can ruin a server. The safest habit is do not run them. The rest of this article is damage control for people who will run them anyway, plus the legal systems that make most of the GUI redundant.
We will not name executor brands as “trusted.” We will not name script indexes. We will not add a crash tutorial. The scripts hub already states the house rule.
Habit 1: never on the main account
If an account owns paid packs, the 50% mission gamepass, Admin, Radio, Day 7 Toy Car, or years of badges, it is a main. Do not point an HttpGet loadstring at it. A burned alt is annoying. A burned main loses the dreamy™ group extras you actually play with. Log out of the main before you even open an executor.
Habit 2: never in a public 25-player room
Public servers are workshops. People load v5.7 Save n Load bases, hunt Keepy Uppy, and finish Power Surge for Target Practice. God mode, speed, give-all-addons, and especially total destruction turn that room into a report. If you test a GUI, use singleplayer or a private server you paid 10 Robux for, with every occupant agreeing in chat first.
If a friend did not agree, you are not testing. You are griefing.
Habit 3: refuse key Discords and second loadstrings
A key system that wants a Discord join, a linkvertise chain, or a “loader then payload” pair is a common steal path. The two scripts on this wiki are documented as keyless / no-key on purpose. If a stranger says those URLs are outdated and hands you a new host, treat the new host as a different unknown file. Do not “just update.”
Do not paste loadstrings into Roblox chat. Other players will click them. Chat is not an executor and it is not a redeem box. Rays Mod has no official codes.
Habit 4: do not touch wipe or crash controls
If the GUI has a button that deletes the map, kills the instance, or spam-anchors every prop, leave it off. This wiki will not document those buttons beyond the warning on the no-key page. There will not be a third article.
Spawn undo, Tool Gun remover, and PVP off (Angel Mode) are the official cleanup tools. Use those.
Habit 5: replace the GUI with systems that already shipped
Want addons? Left-side store, testable packs, how to get addons. Want free toys? dreamy™ group, free rewards, badges. Want a better gun? Keepy Uppy and Target Practice, not infinite health. Want movement? Learn C/X distance on the Physics Gun before you enable fly. Want a quiet room? PVP toggle, not god mode.
Mission Points and the 50% mission gamepass exist so the store has a grind that is not an injector. Use the mission planner if the grind is the part you actually like.
Habit 6: expect the file to change under you
Both documented scripts HttpGet a raw file. The bytes are not pinned. A feature list from a YouTube comment is not a checksum. If the GUI looks different, assume new code. If the GUI asks for a token, close it. If the game updates to a v5.8+ place and the script “updates itself,” that update is still unofficial.
Habit 7: know what you cannot undo
A report, a lost account, and a wiped public save are not debug logs. They are the cost. If that cost is too high, close the executor. The sandbox has been live since 1 May 2020 without one. How to play is the supported onboarding. This page is the warning label on the unsupported path.
When you can recite those seven habits without this article, you do not need this article. Go build something with stock tools, or go close the executor. Either choice is better than a destruction toggle in a room you did not host.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Rays Mod questions.
What is the safest Rays Mod script habit?
Do not run unofficial scripts. Use the store, group, badges, and Mission Points instead.
If I run one anyway, where?
On an alt, in singleplayer or a private server where everyone consented. Never in public. Never on a main.
Are key systems safer?
Usually worse. They add Discord and link gates. Prefer no extra hops, and still assume the payload can change.
Will you add a server crasher guide?
No. Destruction stays a warning on no-key OP, not its own page.
