Rays Mod Physics Gun Controls

The Physics Gun is the reason Rays Mod feels like Garry’s Mod on Roblox. dreamy™ printed the binds in the official description so they would survive every thumbnail that forgets them. This page is that list with context. Pair it with the controls cheatsheet if you want a table. Pair it with how to play if you have not picked a server yet.

Stock Physics Gun is orange. Super Gravity Gun is the white, stronger variant. You unlock it with the Keepy Uppy badge: toss an object five times in the air with the gravity gun without the object touching the ground. Super can grab players and throw their camera around. Do that in a consenting private server, not as a public-server greeting.

Official binds (PC)

• Left mouse: grab the object under the beam.
• Right mouse or G: freeze the held object in world space.
• C or scroll up: push the object further along the beam.
• X: pull the object closer.
• E: straighten the object to a clean axis.
• R: rotate.
• Hold Q: change beam color. The same hold opens the spawn menu, which is why new players think Q “broke” the gun. Release Q to shoot color; keep holding to spawn.

There is no official promo-code bind. There is no Trello bind. If a video adds a sixth mouse button that “gives all addons,” that is a script, not a Physics Gun feature. Scripts are unofficial and sit on the scripts hub.

Mobile and controller gaps

Mobile uses on-screen buttons. Grab and freeze still exist. Distance often becomes a slider or a pair of plus/minus glyphs instead of C/X. Straighten and rotate may share a radial. If a control is missing, freeze the object, walk around it, and grab again from a new angle. That workaround is slower than a scroll wheel and still better than buying a pack to avoid learning the gun.

Private servers (10 Robux, max 25) are the best classroom. Public servers will unfreeze your crate, sit in it, and drive it into the void. Singleplayer is quieter but will not teach you how other Physics Guns fight yours.

Drills that actually stick

Freeze stack. Spawn four crates. Grab, lift, freeze, repeat until you have a column. If the column leans, you skipped E. Bridge. Freeze two stacks, then freeze a long prop between them. Vehicle load. Grab a crate into the bed of a SecondLogic stock car, freeze it, drive, unfreeze on arrival. Keepy Uppy practice. Use a light prop, tap upward with a short beam, and count to five. Prop damage. v5.7.1 updated the prop-damage toggle so falling props make sound and a little camera shake. Turn it on if you want Man vs Inanimate Object. Turn it off if you are filming a clean build. The toggle is not a Physics Gun bind, but it changes whether a missed freeze hurts you.

Color picker and Q conflicts

Hold Q, pick a color, release. Your beam is now a team marker. In a 25-player room, agree on colors before you start a build so three orange beams do not grab the same door. v5.7.1 updated the picker; if your client still shows the old wheel, rejoin after the place updates.

If Q also opens spawn, that is intended. Spawn the next prop without holstering. The Tool Gun is the other half of building — welds survive a Physics Gun fumble that a freeze will not. Read Tool Gun after you can freeze without looking at this list.

What the Physics Gun will not do

It will not open the addon store. That store is on the main menu, left side. It will not redeem codes, because there are none. It will not enable Admin Revolver; that gun needs the Admin gamepass and a singleplayer or private server. It will not replace Save n Load. Freeze is per-object and dies when the server dies unless you save. Build and Save n Load is the persistence page.

When the binds are boring, you are ready. Boring is the goal.
