How to Use the Rays Mod PVP Toggle

PVP in Rays Mod used to be a lobby habit. v5.7.1 made it a toggle. Turning the toggle off awards the Angel Mode badge. Turning it on means guns, Nextbots, and falling props can end a life. The rest of the game did not change: released 1 May 2020, line v5.7 / v5.7.1, 25 players, Physics Gun binds still printed on the Roblox page. The place updated 14 August 2026 with the Clark & Verity banner still up.

This page is the switch. Weapon opinions sit on the weapon tier list. Badge steps sit on badges. Friend nights sit on play with friends. Maps sit on how to find maps.

Where the toggle lives

Look in the main-menu / server-start settings next to the other v5.7.1 quality rows (notifications, prop-damage sounds, color picker). The official store-scrape notes list Added PVP toggle in the same breath as spawn undo. If you cannot find it, you are already inside a server that chose for you. Leave to the menu and set it before Start.

Public lobbies inherit the host vote. You do not get a personal god mode in a PVP-on room just because you prefer Angel Mode. Private servers (10 Robux) are where your group owns the switch. Singleplayer is where you test a gun without an argument.

Angel Mode is a badge, not a shield in every room

Turn PVP off and complete the condition the game uses for Angel Mode. That is a one-time unlock energy, not a permanent public-server forcefield. After you have the badge, you still obey the room you join. If the next public tile is PVP-on, you can die. Bring the lesson, not the entitlement.

Builders should default to off. Film scenes with Cops n Crooks should default to off. Keepy Uppy and Balloon Popper are easier when a revolver is not part of the joke. Chase nights and Golden AK nights should default to on, and everyone in the invite should hear that before they load maps.

What PVP-on actually changes

Stock guns matter. Pack guns matter. The Golden AK-47 is badge-gated after a v5.7-era nerf: you need Target Practice in Power Surge. A PVP-on sandbox without that badge is still a fight; it is just a fight without that rifle. Admin Revolver still refuses public servers even when PVP is on. Do not buy Admin expecting a public deathmatch win button. Gamepasses.

Prop damage is louder after v5.7.1: falling props make sound and a bit of camera shake. A Physics Gun drop can be a weapon. Freeze is still the best defense. If you cannot freeze under pressure, you are not ready for PVP-on. Drill binds on the Physics Gun guide first.

Nextbots in a PVP-on room are a third team. Announce them. Or do not spawn them. NPCs.

Public-server etiquette

Do not flip PVP on mid-weld as a prank. That is how Save n Load houses become graves. Do not flip it off mid-fight and call the other team tryhards. Say the mode in chat when you host. If you joined a room that already chose, adapt or leave. The 10 Robux private server exists so four friends are not held hostage by a 25-player vote.

Unofficial scripts that force god mode, hitbox expands, or server wipes are not a PVP setting. They are account risk. Safer script habits. This page will not tell you how to crash a PVP lobby.

A simple rule for the week

Days you claim Mission Points and test Clark or Verity: PVP off. Days you hunt Target Practice: Power Surge, PVP on. Days you build a Save n Load base: official sandbox, PVP off, one designated saver. Days you invite friends: set the toggle before the v5.6 invite goes out. Play with friends.

There is no PVP code. There is no Trello card that turns the switch for you. Trello status. If a thumbnail says “secret PVP command,” it is a script ad.

When you can pick the toggle on purpose and tell a friend why, you can close this page. The sandbox is more fun when the room agrees what death means.
